چکیده

This paper deals with the reversible circuits with n input and output nodes, consisting of the reversible gates FAN-IN=FAN-OUT≤ 2. We define a normal form of such type of circuits and describe a reduction algorithm to transform a circuit in this form. Furthermore we use it for checking whether two circuits are equivalent to each other without evaluating them.

Testing of Bridging Faults in AND-EXOR based Reversible Logic Circuits

Reversible circuits find applications in many areas of Computer Science including Quantum Computation. This paper examines the testability of an important subclass of reversible logic circuits that are composed of k-wire controlled NOT (kCNOT with k -CNOT gate can be implemented using an irreversible k-input AND gate and an EXOR gate. A reversible k-CNOT circuit where each k-CNOT gate is realiz...

A finite presentation of CNOT-dihedral operators

We give a finite presentation by generators and relations of unitary operators expressible over the {CNOT, T, X} gate set, also known as CNOT-dihedral operators. To this end, we introduce a notion of normal form for CNOT-dihedral circuits and prove that every CNOT-dihedral operator admits a unique normal form. Moreover, we show that in the presence of certain structural rules only finitely many...

A Cost Minimization Approach to Synthesis of Linear Reversible Circuits

This paper presents a heuristic cost minimization approach to synthes izing linear reversible circuits. Two bidirectional linear reversible circuit syn thesis methods are introduced, the Alternating Elimination with Cost Minimiza tion method (AECM) and the Multiple CNOT Gate method (MCG). Al gorithms, example syntheses, and extensions to these methods are presented. An MCG variant which inc...

Fault Tolerant Reversible QCA Design using TMR and Fault Detecting by a Comparator Circuit

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is an emerging and promising technology that provides significant improvements over CMOS. Recently QCA has been advocated as an applicant for implementing reversible circuits. However QCA, like other Nanotechnologies, suffers from a high fault rate. The main purpose of this paper is to develop a fault tolerant model of QCA circuits by redundancy in hardware a...
